Oh Dear, is she sick, i hear you ask, this card is not stitched, well, for once i thought i would try something a little different, these are Hobbydots, they are little peel-off stickers in different size dots, curves, teardrop shapes and borders, and i have to admit, i really enjoyed making this card, for me it really was something different, as i am so lost without my needle, thread, and patterns, you can buy these hobbydots from cardstitching.co.uk and i can definitely recommend them, go on, give them a try, you know you want to, i know i am looking forward to making more cards with these little dots, but i am still a stitch-a-holic, and that won't change.
This card was made for a very special friend, who has been more help to me than she will ever realise, the pattern is from Anns' New Book Card Embroidery Christmas 2, i decided to stitch little sequin flowers instead of stars to the border and i have als stitched Ann's paper art Cat, Pattern No a041 to the centre, i really loved making this card.
Again i have stitched Ann's paper art pattern No a499, this time i have used rice beads and added a Forever Friends Santa, it always amazes me hoe the same pattern can look so different when stitched in a different colour.
This pattern is Ann's Paper art pattern No a0499, the poinsetta is a piece of material that i have cut out and mounted onto a piece of card, i think i must like this pattern i have stitched moretimes than i realised.
My Neighbour asked me to make a birthday card with an octopus, i was not sure if i could do this, but after searching through my patterns i found this one, i was not looking forward to stitching it, it is stitched in blue and purple metalic thread, i used Ann's paper art border pattern from the new stitching book as i thought it needed something else, but i decided to stitch the stars as bubbles, i then mounted it onto blue holographic card and mounted it onto white card and added a few peel -off dots to finish.
This pattern is from the new book Card Embroidery with Ann's Paper Art, Christmas 2, which i won in Ann's Forum Contest, the two new books are a must have if you love card embroidery, the books also include the decoupage which i have used on this card, i glittered the flames on the candles also the candle wax and the centre of the flowers, then mounted it onto gold glitter paper and then onto a xmas green pearlescent card, i added a few peel-offs and stars to finish.
I made this card for my Cousins daughter who will be Two on Thursday, I have used the letters from Ann's New Stitching book No 1, Card Embroidery with Ann's Paper Art, and the ladybird is from the book Embroidery on paper for every occasion by Joke and Adriaan de Vette.
