Sympathy Card

Sometimes we all have to make a sympathy card, I find them very hard to make, this one is made for my cousins, my Uncle passed away on Tuesday, I have used one of Ann's patterns for the border, but slightly changed it, it is pattern No a2013 from the HJ No 43, I have used the Cross pattern from a HJ yearbook and the rose pattern is from a book by Joke and Adriaan De Vette, I have stitched this card in a black and gold thread and a gold thread, I mounted it onto black card and then onto gold mirri card, I was really worried about the colours that I chose, but am pleased with the final result, the photo doesn't do it justice.

MY CROSS STITCHING

I have been cross stitching for many years, in fact I started when I was a small child at primary school, here are some of the cross stitch designs that I have completed over the years, some are waiting to be cleaned and framed, I have loved every minute of making these, two have a very special place in my heart, they are the Fairy and the Angel, it took me a year to complete the Angel, which normally would have taken me a month to complete, due to a health problem, it gave me Inspiration at the time to keep going.
