Sympathy Cards

It has been very unfortunate that I have found myself making so many sympathy cards these past six weeks for friends, below are two of the cards I have made. The first one I made yesterday for my neighbour who lost her dear husband early yesterday morning, I have stitched an old pattern from Emelie's Design, the  second one is for a very dear friend, I stitched a pattern from the book Embroidery on paper for every occasion by Joke and Adriaan de Vette, the rose on the card is from a different pattern in the same book.

  1. Hi Sue, bereavement cards are the one thing that I cannot bring myself to make. Both the cards are very fitting for the occasion. Didn't see you at Ally Pally the other weekend, but I hear that you and Mary were there. It was nice to meet John (next-door) in person, such a nice man. Janice x

  2. Thank you Janice, it has been very difficult making these cards, the others I made I forgot to photograph so I can't show them.
I was at Ally Pally and had a wonderful time, I did look out for you, it would have been nice to see you. Sue x

  3. Sue your cards are lovely and I am sure they would have been appreciated by their recipients. Bereavement Cards are not easy to make.
    Well done.
